The Edgemont Community Slides are part of a larger collection of slides taken by staff from the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 1970s. For the most part, these slides show houses and business establishments in Edgemont, the community surrounding the Durham Hosiery Mill and Golden Belt Manufacturing Company in East Durham.
