G. A. Barbee

Abstract/Description: One of Durham County's first commissioners, whose name is on the cornerstone of the old courthouse. When Durham was still a part of Orange County, he was practicing law, a magistrate and a justice of the peace. He is buried in the Barbee Herndon Family Cemetery on the east side of Fayetteville Road.
