York David Garrett, Jr. (1894-1998, licensed pharmacist and PhD in Pharmacy from Howard University, 1920) was also the owner of Garrett Drugs in the Biltmore Hotel on Pettigrew Street, and 3 other pharmacies). In the same building is the House of Charm Beauty Parlor. A similar picture is in Durham Urban Renewal Records.
