Abstract/Description: The National Council of Negro Women - Durham Section is dedicated to fostering sisterhood in, providing opportunities for, and uplifting Durham's community of Black women. The organization is a section of the National Council of Negro Women, which was organized in 1935 by Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, educator and social activist.
