Abstract/Description: Carrington is standing in his mother's living room at 607 Cecil Street. He was a member of the Boy Scout Explorer Post #55 of the White Rock Baptist Church. His father was J.W. Carrington, the advisor for the post, having himself been the first Black recipient of the Eagle Scout Award in the Durham council.
