St. Titus Senior Citizens Birthday Social

Abstract/Description: Birthday socials were held monthly between 1965 and 1970 at St. Titus Episcopal Church. The Church, on 400 Moline Street, was founded in 1887. Pauli Murray's aunts, Mrs. Pauline Fitzgerald Dame and Miss Sarah A. Fitzgerald, who were members of the primarily white St. Phillips congregation, were among the prime movers to establish the St. Titus Mission for the people of the Hayti area.
