Topics covered include the civil rights activities of Duke students and faculty, and Klopfer's Supreme Court case. Klopfer was jailed in 1964 for protesting segregation in restaurants; he became the plaintiff in the 1967 Supreme Court case Klopfer v. North Carolina, which upheld the Speedy Trial Clause of the Sixth Amendment. |
